According to the Labor Inspectorate, hairdressers import products such as hair dyes directly from other EU countries. These products are also sold directly to customers. It can be assumed that these products are often not intended for the European or Austrian market.

In a focal action, we examined 33 samples from all over Austria. 21 samples were rejected (in some cases several times), e.g. because of prohibited ingredients or missing warnings in German.
