The aim of the priority action was to obtain an overview of the ingredients and the contamination of complementary foods with contaminants and residues. In addition, the national use situation of additives and flavourings in the samples taken was to be determined.
71 samples from all over Austria were analysed. No sample was objectionable with regard to the topic of the focus campaign.
However, eleven samples were objected to, in some cases several times, due to other food law defects:
