Antibiotic use surveillance in hospitals.

The increasing worldwide occurrence of antibiotic-resistant pathogens is a major public health issue and has led to EU-wide requirements for the containment of antibiotic resistance and the prudent use of antibiotics. In accordance with these guidelines, we now offer, in cooperation with the Robert Koch Institute and the Charité Berlin, a free and anonymous antibiotic consumption surveillance project for Austrian hospitals.

This project offers interested hospitals the possibility to collect and evaluate their antibiotic consumption data by means of an Austria-wide standardized reporting procedure and provides them with a statistically validated basis for the management of the careful use of antibiotics (antibiotic stewardship). Participation in the project is free of charge. The data will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be passed on to third parties.

If you would like to participate in this project with your hospital and monitor your antibiotic consumption or receive further documentation, please contact us.
