The aim of the focus action was to examine sunscreen products with regard to compliance with the specific requirements of products containing nano titanium dioxide. 32 samples from all over Austria were examined. Two samples were objected to:

• Both samples had false advertising claims "Free of aluminum salts" and "Without synthetic preservatives"

With regard to the examination for titanium dioxide in nano form, there was no reason for complaint.
