The aim of the focus action was to check compliance with requirements of the Toy Ordinance 2011. 47 samples from all over Austria were examined. 10 samples were objected to (in part several times):

• two samples were rejected due to safety deficiencies, of which:
  • one sample due to increased flame propagation speed
  • one sample due to a too thin packaging foil
• in seven samples the labeling was objected to (defective, missing or wrongly applied warnings)
• five samples showed deficiencies with regard to the toy labeling ordinance (including deficient/missing information regarding name/address, deficient CE labeling)
• two samples were rejected due to a deficient EC Declaration of Conformity.
