The aim of the focus campaign was to test the products for harmful substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, primary aromatic amines, chloropropanols, lead and aluminium. In addition, the colour fastness of coloured or printed products was examined.
40 samples from all over Austria were analysed. One sample was rejected:
- Colour fading (bleeding of the colours) of a red muffin tin on contact with greasy food on the outside
Nine samples were analysed due to the amount of harmful substances released.
