The aim of the priority action was to test such products for the migration of primary aromatic amines (PAA for short), as individual products were found to be harmful to health in each of the previous priority actions.
54 samples from all over Austria were analysed. Four samples were rejected:
- Three samples were judged to be harmful to health
- One sample was rejected due to adverse effects on foodstuffs
In all four cases, the non-compliance consisted of the release of 4,4'-methylenedianiline.
