The aim of the focus action was to verify the documents proving the conformity of the plastic articles.

79 samples from all over Austria were examined. One sample was not assessed because it was not made of plastic. 24 samples were objected to, some of them several times:

• 24 samples were objected to in accordance with the Ordinance on Plastic Food Contact Materials.
• one sample also did not meet the criteria of the regulation on recycled plastic food contact materials
• one sample was rejected according to the regulation on food contact materials.
