The aim of the focus action was to survey the microbiological status with regard to pathogenic germs of pre-packed rolls containing fresh vegetable inserts such as lettuce leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, etc.. In the microbiological parameters, pathogenic germs were examined in addition to the hygiene indicator germs.
75 samples from all over Austria were examined. One sample was rejected:
