The aim of the priority action "A-047-17 Histamine in Craft Beer - Monitoring" was to obtain current data on the histamine contamination of Austrian beers from small, medium and gastronomic breweries. Monitoring actions clarify certain issues, but do not result in immediate action. However, the competent authorities are informed of any suspected violation of food regulations. 82 samples from all over Austria were examined. Three samples were objected to due to incorrect labeling.
