The aim of the focus action was to obtain an overview of the composition and contamination of processed cereal foods with contaminants such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), mycotoxins and heavy metals. In addition, the use of additives and flavorings as well as the microbiological status were surveyed.
46 samples from all over Austria were examined. 21 samples were rejected:
