Final Report of Priority Action A-019-21

The objective of the focus action was to determine the content of furan and alkylated furan compounds in complementary foods, coffee, fruit juices and tomato pastes to collect data for further risk assessments. By further developing the analytical method, more comprehensive data for alkylated furan compounds were obtained as part of this monitoring. Forty-three samples from all over Austria were analyzed.
