The aim of the focus action was to examine parameters such as microbiology, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and meat chemistry. 76 samples from all over Austria were examined. Seven samples were rejected:
- Three samples were judged to be harmful to health.
- Three samples were judged unfit for human consumption due to microbiological contamination
- One sample was objected to with regard to the use of an unauthorized amount of the additive nitrate (calculated as sodium nitrate) in a food declared as "organic"
