The aim of the focus action was to check food from the catering and communal catering to what extent the information on the animal species is correct or whether there is any misleading or deception. A microbiological examination was carried out to check the hygienic condition of the samples.
73 samples from all over Austria were examined, seven samples were rejected:
- In four samples, non-designated animal species were detected
- One sample due to labeling deficiencies
- Two samples due to microbiology
