The objective of the "Aluminum in canned beverages" focus action was to determine the total aluminum content of beverages at the end of their minimum shelf life. 51 samples from all over Austria were examined. No sample was rejected. Aluminum in beverages can originate from the production plant, the additives used or the beverage can. The higher the quality of a beverage can, the lower the aluminum content of the beverage it contains.
