Would you like to sell your own crocheted dolls or enter the toy business with wooden cars you have made yourself? With these and similar goals, you've come to the right place! Even if you only produce toys in small quantities, you must comply with all legal requirements.
In our webinar, we will provide you with basic knowledge about European toy law. We will focus in particular on the obligations of toy manufacturers set out in the Toy Safety Regulation. The online event serves as a guide through the jungle of paragraphs. The various guidelines of the European Commission are also a topic of the event, as are the harmonised toy standards. The problem of so-called grey zone products will also be highlighted. Of course, the correct labelling of toys is also on the agenda.
As the European Toy Safety Directive is to be replaced by a European Toy Safety Regulation in the future, we will also provide a brief overview of the changes planned in this context.
Contents
- Legal basis, in particular the 2011 Toy Safety Regulation
- Obligations of the manufacturer + assistance for practical implementation

- Harmonised series of standards EN 71 "Safety of toys"
