Every year, approximately 30,000 food samples are tested in Austria by our experts and the food testing laboratories of the federal states (Carinthia, Vorarlberg). The reports from these laboratories are forwarded to the authorities of the federal states. In 2020, of a total of 21,779 food samples examined, 0.3% were harmful to health and 2.9% were assessed as unfit for human consumption/unfit for intended use(Food Safety Report 2020).
